Leaming's Run Gardens

Last Saturday I got my husband to take me to the Leaming's Run Garden. The brochure and website say it is about 30 acres of natural gardens. Promised hummingbirds around August.

This is sort of a review about my experience and some photos of course that I took.

First of all, the entrance fee was very inexpensive. Although, I think the experience was not worth 8 dollars. It's kind of deceiving when someone tells you it's 30 acres of garden, it creates a picture in your mind that you will be walking through lots and lots of flowers and pure beauty all the way. To be honest, I was not very impressed with the view. It looked very unkempt. Maybe it was the time of the year? Who knows. But definitely not what I expected. If I didn't carry my camera and was not taking lots of macro shots, it would have taken me 10 minutes to walk around the whole trail. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see anything jaw dropping that really made me stop except for the macro details that I wanted to capture.

And the hummingbirds promised? We saw none. Maybe we were supposed to wait longer? We sat there and waited, we were quiet too, but none came. That was the most disappointing part to me cause I went there specifically for the hummingbirds. But oh well.

So, I am going to share some pictures I took. Don't use without permission.
